Ordination of Timoci Talalelei Tapu Naicegulevu

Sunday, 8th December 2024 marked a momentous day for St.John the Baptist Theological College, as Timoci Talalelei Tapu Naicegulevu was ordained into the Holy Order of Deacon. The ceremony was presided over by Archbishop The Most Reverend Sione Silongo Uluilakepa at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Suva, surrounded by clergy, family, friends, and members of the faith community who gathered to witness this significant milestone in Tapu’s spiritual journey.

Tapu’s ordination is not only a reflection of his dedication to God’s calling but also a pivotal step in his theological and pastoral development. He has been awarded a prestigious scholarship to further his studies, pursuing a Bachelor of Theology in Liturgy and Worship in the coming year. In his new role, Tapu will assist in liturgical duties, in reading and preaching the Word of God, and in performing other Ecclesiastical duties.
