Celebrating Friends and Contributors to Our College
Mrs. Judith Bright & Mr. Taniela Koloamatangi
St. John the Baptist Theological College was recently blessed to welcome two remarkable friends and supporters, Mrs. Judith Bright from New Zealand and Mr. Taniela Koloamatangi from Tonga, whose efforts have brought significant advances to the Diocese and the College. Although their visits were not originally planned to overlap, their work here has beautifully complemented each other, each contribution paving the way for a secure and organized future for our diocesan and college records.
Judith Bright, joined by her husband Richard, focused on advancing our Church Archive. Her expertise was instrumental in organizing, updating, and developing our archival systems, ensuring that we can preserve the rich history and legacy of our faith community. She also brought a collection of library books from New Zealand, adding invaluable resources for our students and staff. Judith led an engaging workshop for the Diocesan Office staff on best practices for archiving, a gift of knowledge that will have a lasting impact on our record-keeping standards.
At the same time, Taniela Koloamatangi’s visit brought essential updates to our technology infrastructure. He successfully installed a new College server and database, providing us with a digital foundation that will support efficient and secure information management for years to come. His efforts also included launching a new website for the Diocese, enhancing our online presence and making our resources more accessible to the broader community.
Together, Judith and Taniela’s contributions embody a forward-thinking approach to safeguarding the Diocese’s history and records, combining traditional archival expertise with modern technology. Their collaboration, though unplanned, was a perfect alignment of purpose, helping to ensure that the College and Diocese can preserve, manage, and share our shared stories and mission well into the future.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Judith, Richard, and Taniela for their tireless dedication and look forward to many more shared endeavors in the journey ahead. Their friendship, commitment, and hard work are a true blessing to us all.
