Archbishop continues to leads Clergy meeting for Suva & Ovalau Archdeaconry
Anglican Diocese of Polynesia
The Archbishop of the Diocese of Polynesia, The Most Rev. Sione Uluilakepa, continued talanoa with the clergy of the Suva and Ovalau Archdeaconry. The meeting focused on strengthening ministry by clarifying roles, shared purpose, and pastoral accountability.
Clergy were reminded of their responsibilities and duties under their licenses, including:
Providing consistent pastoral care and spiritual leadership;
Administration of the sacraments
Reading and preaching the Word of God faithfully;
Ensuring good stewardship and transparency in parish affairs;
Actively engaging in diocesan training, mission, and outreach;
Serving their communities with humility and integrity.
Archbishop Sione encouraged all clergy to reflect deeply on their calling and remain committed to the core values of servant leadership and Gospel witness.
The meeting also included a briefing on key clergy appointments and movements within the archdeaconry. These changes are shared for awareness and to encourage prayerful support from the wider Church as priests transition into new roles and responsibilities.
The Diocese continues to uphold its commitment to strengthening leadership, nurturing vocations, and equipping the Church for faithful mission across all parishes.
