Arbor Day Celebration
Thanksgiving Service for Creation and Redemption
The College joined the MAST Community to joyously celebrate Arbor Day on Wednesday 5th of June, 2024, a day dedicated worldwide to honoring and nurturing the environment. We are commemorating this special day with a heartfelt Thanksgiving for Creation and Redemption. This year’s theme is "Land Restoration, Drought Resilience, and Desertification," emphasizing the critical need to restore and preserve our natural landscapes. It is a time for all of us to join hands and work towards giving back to Mother Earth what we have taken from her. Our actions have consequences, and today serves as a timely reminder of our responsibility to care for our planet. As part of the celebration, we are symbolizing resilience by planting a cactus plant, demonstrating the incredible ability of nature to thrive in challenging conditions.
Arbor Day is a powerful reminder of each individual's impact in caring for our planet. Let us continue to work together to restore our land, build drought resilience, and combat desertification. Our actions today will contribute to a healthier, more sustainable future for generations.
With Prayer of Thanksgiving for the Beauty of the Earth:
We give you thanks most gracious God, for the beauty of earth, sky, and sea, for the richness of mountains, plains, and rivers; for the songs of birds and the loveliness of flowers. We praise you for these good gifts and pray that we may safeguard them for our posterity. Grant that we may continue to grow in our grateful enjoyment of your abundant creation, to the honor and glory of your Name, now and forever. Amen.
